Not your average Material Girl

The things that makes me naturally high .
  1. SHOES - While I was growing up, I have a hard time looking for shoes that fits me. Its either that my foot is too wide for the design that I like or its too big. Thanks to globalization, shoes that are larger are here in the Philippines! Now , the problem is that if I buy shoes, I should definitely have a dress that goes with it.
  2. BAGS - I love the big ones. Hey! I am tall, so  I need a bag that is proportion to my body and the stuff that I carry around =) I do multitasking , I have swim lessons to teach and after I have to do some errands or do thesis stuff.
  3. LIQUID EYELINER - makes my day! It makes my chinese eyes bigger, and it accentuates my assets which is my eyes!=)
  4. EARRINGS - When I see earrings that suits my mood, surely brightens my day!
  5. ARTS AND CRAFTS -be it from colorful papers, to craft scissors and craft punchers you name it !
What can I say, I'm different! I'm simple! =)

RISKS

To help me be positive always, I always see to it that no matter what happens to me day by day may it be good or bad, it has a reason.
The month of October and November had me on a roller coaster ride. I really needed money, because my current job is just on a reliever status so the pay is not that big.  So I applied at a BPO company, to my amazement, I got in,one-day processing. I applied on a Thursday.
Saturday came, and the hospital called, telling me I passed the exam and I was scheduled for an interview on Nov. 4.
I can not believe it! I was overwhelm with the blessings and opportunities Heavenly Father is giving me! I was really excited in getting in at the hospital that I bought Nurse's cap and uniform to prepare myself. To cut the long story short. I gave up the BPO company in lieu with my pending application at the hospital. The funny thing was, I was not accepted at the hospital. Bummer!
I had also  sacrificed my volunteer work at a Psychiatric facility because I was all so positive in getting in.
When they told me I was not on the list of successful applicants, I was numb at first but then I realized maybe the Lord wanted me to finish my thesis first. I know I need to be a little more patient in waiting for the Lord;s promised blessings!=)
Did I ever regret in taking the risks that I did these past two months? Of course not.
A good friend once told me that ," Regrets isn't doing something and yet you failed but is --NOT doing anything today and looked back says to yourself..WHAT IF"

‘What’ and ‘if’ two words as nonthreatening as words come. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: ‘What if?’…

Should I or should I not?

Hmmm....

Decide now..

I'll give it a try.

Its not about the money!

But I need money!

hahahahaha

I need to think it over hundred times, but I thinnk I have to try and apply so I'll know!

My Best Friend's Wedding

To keep the fire burning brightly there's one easy rule:  Keep the two logs together, near enough to keep each other warm and far enough apart - about a finger's breadth - for breathing room.  Good fire, good marriage, same rule.  ~Marnie Reed Crowell
In a few days, My bestfriend is going to finally tie the knot  to  her "one great love". As what  Lucy Torres said on a tv show," Not all have the chance to marry their one great love." I guess she was referring to her husband , Richard Gomez.
If you only knew their love story , then you would know for sure that they were truly meant  to be. 11 years is long, but I am guessing it was more than that.
I knew her when she was investigating the church, same time that I was. Maybe that was the reason we clicked because we were on a same page. We were baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, last march 20, 2005.  A week after, we lost contact, because it was found out that her address was at a different ward, and as for me, we transferred to a new address as well. I lost my phone to thieves, the reason why we lost contact for 8 months. It was during the first Regional YSA Conference at Lamac that we saw each other again.  I was so thrilled to see her again, well that is an understatement, I was actually ecstatic to see her again. Same feeling that Alma the younger felt when he saw the sons of Mosiah again after how many years of being separated.
After that , we never lost communication. We grew together in the church. It was through her  example that I has inspired me to hold on and believe  in miracles. She left on her mission, and when she was about to come home, I went on my mission as well.
Now, she is going to be sealed to her one true love , for all time and eternity, and I could not be any happier.
I love you veth!=) Congratulations=) You deserve to be happy, you really taught me that, " Good things comes to those who wait=) "

The Future Blushing Bride

To Gian, you are one lucky man to have her, take care of her, she is priceless gem! Best wishes!

I'll just follow soon!

Learn the Basics of SEO for FREE

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is becoming the new trend today in the information highway, and also for business as well. Honestly, I never heard of this thing if not for Mr. Rosendo Cuyasen, Jr, Bro."Jun" as what I call him , since we go to the same ward , and just recently, he is my next door neighbor, with his doting wife and his only daughter.
Mr. Jun , in action, the expert in SEO.

Good thing , there was a free training conducted  by  the Employment Resource Center and facilitated by Mr.Jun, himself. I can personally attest that in the four years since he started engaging in the  field of SEO m he did certainly learned the ropes of it.

During the training we were given an overview of what is SEO  (Good thing for me, because I certainly did not know any single bit about SEO) and why it is now becoming the lucrative business.

Sadly, I was not able to attend the succeeding sessions as I had an afternoon shift.so sad..
But if you want to join him in the training feel free to go to the FGU building, 5th floor , its near AYALA CENTER . Training is on Wednesdays, 4:00 Pm to 6:00 Pm.

Don't miss this chance...who knows, you might have talent on SEO but you did not know about it..come to the training and let the "MASTER" Mr Jun ,  unleash the power with in you.

See you!!

las aventuras de khate y liza

Me and Liza at the Cebu Temple

I can not really turn the hand of time. Time flies. Liza is leaving for her full time mission. I know I must be happy , I have been really pushing her to go, because I know she will have the best 18 months of her life.
Let me introduce you first to Liza, when I was still a new convert to the church, Liza was my first friend at Arlington Ward, I don't know but we just clicked instantly, that is why every Sunday , the first person that I am going to look for is Liza. At Arlington ward, people usually calls us David and Goliath because of our size differences.
We went to Institute together, church activities and supports each other's calling.
I think if not for Liza's encouragement and influence in me, I may never be this strong in the church. =)

Me, Liza and Rossveth, after Liza's endowment

When Liza was endowed last May 28, 2011 this idea popped into my head, because I have not tried doing baptism for the dead now that I am endowed might as well, try it =) So after how many weeks of preparation, we were all set for our adventure and to make it worthwhile we documented it.

Actually doing temple ordinaces for our kindred dead is really a rewarding experience though sometimes a lot of people are wondering what to do . Hope these pictures will help you be excited as well to be an instrument for our brothers and sisters who passed over the veil a chance to partake the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ =)

Cebu Temple Family History

First, go to your Family History Center, at your your respective Stake Center then a Family History Assistant will help you on your needs

Liz, are you sure that's new.familysearch.org or facebook??

Hmmm, where is my lolo and lola???

Family History centers are equip with computers to help  you in searching for the records of our ancestors. The church have millions of names recorded , and are kept of course because that's how important to keep these files. After you have finished encoding , you are now ready to print your request for temple ordinances for your kindred dead.

All smiles..they are ready to be printed out to come out as cards.

After it will look like this....

Now we have the cards, all it needs is for the actual ordinance to be done..me and liza are all excited for tomorrow's baptism for the dead...yey!
And the adventure continues..=)

Prevention is Better Than Cure

Aside from the millions of students trooping to schools this month of June , one event that makes the month of June distinct, is the start of the rainy season.  It is really hard to get sick now a days, one works hard to earn money , but if one gets sick, its like flushing all your hard-earned money in the toilet. That is why, ladies and gentlemen, the saying that goes, " Health is Wealth"  is really true.

I personally don't want to be sick, so over the years, I learned how to take care of my self through this preventive measures courtesy of my nursing school education and hospital experience.

  1. WATER. Drink a lot of water. In grade school, we were taught to drink 8-10 glasses of water, but right now it depends on your weight. Even you are just staying in your air-conditioned offices or cubicles, you NEED to drink WATER. I repeat drink WATER. It is the perfect weapon to combat dehydration, that causes head aches, coughs and colds.
  2. EAT FRUITS RICH IN VITAMIN C. Do I need to say more, fine, I need to,I need to use my gift of gab for the better of mankind. Fruits that are rich in vitamin c are the following, Oranges, papayas, guavas, mangoes, banana.
  3. MEGA DOSE OF VITAMIN C. There are a lot of vitamin supplements that can help you boost your immune system. Well right now, I am taking Fern C..so pick your choice.
Good Luck!
