Got it from the wires |
- The picture says it all! NO TO CARBONATED DRINKS! I so envy way back when I can control myself from drinking sodas. When I was still training for swimming, my coach usually reminds me to abstain from drinking sodas 1-2 months before the swim meet. I think this is one of the reasons when I stop swimming I was totally amazed of the liberty that I have in drinking sodas, thus I was addicted to it somehow. Since I am no fan of coffee, my constant buddy during my night shift duty at the hospital is the good old soda and pizza.

2. EXERCISE! I need to get back in shape. I need to swim again and do some cardio work out! Perhaps I'll try to do Zumba. Well , I have been meaning to swim the Olanggo challenge, it where you get to swim from Mactan Island to the famous Bird Sanctuary in Olanggo Island, so I need to start training for that. If I'm a little lighter , I can get back to running, that is why I have been saving for a cross-traing shoes. It is badly a need and not a want.
3.Update JOURNALS.
I am pretty much lazy updating my journals. One of my regrets in life, is that I have not been religiously writing on my journals during my mission life(that is another story) . Journals is different from a diary, According to Quin McDonald,"A diary is a report of what happened during the day—where you ate, who you met, the details leading up to the kerfluffle in the office, and who took whose side. It’s a bit like a newspaper about you. A journal is completely different. A journal is about examining your life. It’s a GPS system for your spirit. “I’ve made this mistake before. . . and I always make it when I rushed for time and feel panicky. But I feel panicky because I know I’m headed for the same mistake.” Journals lead to insight, growth, and sometimes, achieving a goal." Updating my journal means I have to read the scriptures everyday, and reflect and ponder on these things=)
4. Manage Finances Well.
It really does not matter how big or small your money is , what is important is that you know how to budget your money. To distinguish your needs vs. your wants.
(Tithing+Savings + Fast Offerings) - Salary = Expenses.
It is a simple equation really, You have to add your tithing and fast offerings, and subtract it your net income, whatever remains from your salary is the amount of money you have to use for your expenses, food, gas, rent , savings and etc.
5.Yes, I need to ! So that when am old and wrinkly I'll remember my lucid thoughts =) hehe! I'm not really into details or titles of what kind of blog I am going to manage,as the idioms that goes, Jack of all trades, I can basically write anything about. May it be food, travel, swimming, or etc.
I know 2012 is going to be my year!
